Port Colborne City Council has called a moratorium on the privatization of public services.

As reported in Niagara this Week, the councillors passed a motion crafted for the We Own It campaign which says the city won't privatize any services without first putting the privatization through a rigorous and open review. The councillors also committed to publicizing all the city services currently privatized, and to review all those privatized services with a view to insourcing them.
