Owen Sound picketers hit by cars

Bayshore Broadcasting reports that no charges have been laid “yet” as police continue to investigate the growing number of people being hit by cars on the picketline outside the Owen Sound Family Health Organization.

OPSEU President Warren “Smokey” Thomas tells Bayshore Broadcasting News, one striking picketer had her foot run over and she has some broken bones.

He asks “In what universe would it ever be acceptable under any circumstances to use a car as a weapon and drive through a group of people?”

Thomas says the vast majority of people going in to see a doctor are sympathetic to the workers.
