OPSEU/SEFPO members: Keep the LCBO public!

On the Friday before Thanksgiving, LCBO workers in Oshawa and Windsor showed up outside their stores to thank customers for supporting their local stores and the workers who keep them running.

The collective agreement between the LCBO and OPSEU/SEFPO expires on March 31, 2024. In the coming months, LBED members are mobilizing in their workplaces and communities to raise awareness about why we are all together in the fight to keep the LCBO public:

  • LCBO profits fund public schools and hospitals
  • Keeping good jobs in our communities
  • Keeping our local stores and warehouses open
  • Keeping our communities safe

And yet, the Ford Government is looking to sell off the LCBO piece by piece. Giving away lucrative liquor sales will hand our public revenues over to private profits and endanger LCBO stores and jobs.

Don’t let our LCBO become Doug Ford’s next multi-billion-dollar cash grab!

Ford Government and LCBO executives need to take note: our members are ready to do whatever it takes to keep the LCBO public – to protect the future of the LCBO and the public services we are proud to provide.

That’s why LCBO workers are rising up, and we know our communities will rise alongside us. Because when we bargain, we also fight for the public good. When we win, we will be saving good jobs in communities in every corner of this province and standing strong against another multi-billion-dollar theft from our public coffers.

Keep the LCBO public
