OPSEU/SEFPO’s Equity Executive Board Members, committees, caucuses, coalition and circle are excited to announce that we will be developing an Equity Logo to symbolize the unification of all equity-deserving groups within our union.
And we want members to be at the heart of the process! You’re invited to submit a concept for this new logo.
If your submission is selected, you’ll have the opportunity to work with Equity leaders as well as OPSEU/SEFPO communications and design staff to bring our idea to life. Plus, you’ll win a $500 cash prize!
Submission formats
As we want all members to have a chance to participate in this process, all ideas are welcome!
Submissions can be sent in a number of formats:
- Sketch, mockup or design (high resolution .jpeg or .png file)
- Design concept with a collage of design inspiration & examples of imagery (PDF format)
- Written concept (attached in a PDF format)

Judging
Following the submission deadline OPSEU/SEFPO’s Equity Executive Board Members and Committee Chairs will meet to review all submissions and vote on a winning concept.
Judging will be on the following criteria:
- Submissions must be an original design or concept;
- Concept must incorporate all of OPSEU/SEFPO Equity groups (Indigenous Circle, Disability Rights Caucus, Provincial Francophone Committee, Provincial Human Rights Committee, Provincial Women’s Committee, Provincial Young Workers Committee, Rainbow Alliance Arc-en-ciel, Coalition of Racialized Workers, Jewish Caucus);
- Adherence to theme; and
- The creativity, strength and potential of the concept for wide use in OPSEU/SEFPO equity materials, swag and other uses.
