The OPSEU/SEFPO Dismantling Systemic Racism Program (DSRP) is looking for OPSEU/SEFPO members who are interested in co-facilitating Organizing for Power – Anti-Black, Anti-Indigenous and all forms of Racism training to all elected leaders within the membership.

This is in response to the constitutional amendment passed at Convention 2022. Those changes now require all elected leaders to actively participate in mandatory anti-Black, anti-Indigenous and all forms of anti-racism training.

OPSEU/SEFPO’s goal is to identify and remove systemic barriers that prevent Indigenous, Black, and racialized members from participating at all levels in the union.  The voices of Black, Indigenous and racialized members need to be heard and their stories told.  They also need to be part of decision-making tables.

This forms part of OPSEU/SEFPO’s commitment to being an anti-racist union.

The DSRP needs a diverse group of facilitators to ensure that the voices and lived experiences of Black, Indigenous and racialized communities are central to the training.

If you are interested in being a member co-facilitator for this training, you are invited to submit apply no later than January 12, 2023, at 5PM.  You must be an OPSEU/SEFPO member in good standing in order to be considered.
