OPSEU/SEFPO Childcare Ad Hoc Committee is determined to revitalize the way our union provides childcare
At the 2022 OPSEU/SEFPO Convention, delegates passed a resolution to have OPSEU/SEFPO form a Childcare Ad Hoc Committee tasked with formulating a “comprehensive policy on childcare and troubleshoot issues that target barriers to participation of OPSEU/SEFPO members as well as ensuring safe, effective care for our children using OPSEU/SEFPO childcare.
The Childcare Ad Hoc Committee has since been working hard to accomplish this mission. By completing this survey, you are contributing to the essential pool of knowledge we will be drawing from throughout this initiative. OPSEU recognizes that participation from front-line members is the only way to grow as a labour movement, and the committee is up to the challenge of working with everyone involved in order to identify, meet the needs of, and break down barriers to participation of members with dependent children, as well as assist leaders, staff within OPSEU/SEFPO and providers to have the best tools to succeed in doing so.
