OPSEU Local 604 member Janice Martell's groundbreaking Macintyre Powder Project has drawn attention to the health problems of miners — including her own father — who were forced to inhale aluminum dust prior to every shift as a condition of employment. Martell's campaign is featured on CBC's The Fifth Estate.
