Torrential rains held off just long enough for OPSEU members at the LCBO to host another successful information picket this Saturday in London. Members of Local 163 were joined by more than 20 OPSEU members as they hosted the Liquor Board Employees Division’s (LBED) third picket in recent weeks.
Many of the OPSEU members and employees who came out to the picket pose with the banners.
Some participants held OPSEU flags or one of two massive 12-foot banners; others handed out leaflets and asked LCBO customers to sign postcards demanding that Wynne stop privatizing the LCBO. By the end of the two-hour picket, nearly 100 postcards had been signed by the public.
“The public agrees,” said Robin Reath, President of Local 163. “The LCBO is a public good; we own it. The Liberals need to stop trying to privatize what belongs to us all.”

Almost every customer going into the LCBO was willing to stop and chat with OPSEU folks.
