Toronto – OPSEU First Vice-President/Treasurer Eduardo (Eddy) Almeida addressed staff at the Union’s head office today to mark the National Day of Mourning. The event was one of many across the province in which OPSEU activists observed a minute of silence to remember those killed, injured or made ill on the job.

OPSEU President Warren (Smokey) Thomas spoke at an event in Brampton sponsored by the Peel Region Labour Council.

The union published a full page ad in the Toronto Sun to draw attention to Local 604 President Janice Martell’s campaign on the long-term effects of McIntyre powder.
