Over the past year, the OCEW has met with the provincial government and the Council of Trustees Association on twelve occasions with very little progress. In light of this, the OCEW filed for conciliation in September 2015.

On October 13, OCEW members met with conciliator Greg Long for the first time. We remain committed to bargaining in good faith and achieving a strong central agreement.

Our next bargaining dates with the provincial government and the Council of Trustees Association are scheduled for October 22nd and 23rd.

In solidarity,

Kathy Whipple
Chair, Boards of Education and Cultural Institutions
