The Ontario Council of Education Workers (OCEW) met with the Council of Trustees’ Association (CTA), comprised of the Ontario Public School Boards’ Association (OPSBA), the Ontario Catholic School Trustees’ Association (OCSTA) and the Ministry of Education for seven days (September 13, November 14, 26, 27, December 10, 16, 17) of bargaining.
The parties made some progress towards reaching agreement on the outstanding issues, unfortunately after a marathon 19 hour session on December 17, the parties couldn’t reach a deal . There are no dates scheduled over the holidays and we will be looking to schedule further negotiations dates in the New Year.
