Join in for OPSEU/SEFPO’s RPN Occupational Division Nurses Week 2022 online events!
We hear you, we are with you, and we still need you.
The struggle remains real for nurses on all fronts of patient care. This year, as we gear up for a provincial election on June 2, we want to make sure our voices are heard!
In long-term care, community agencies, correctional facilities, hospitals, psychiatric facilities, and mental health agencies, the pandemic has brought to the forefront what we have long said about health care, the social determinants of health and economic policy.
Now, it’s time to elect a government that will listen. This Nurses Week, let’s raise the alarm and build power in our solidarity!
Let’s stay connected: Join the RPN mailing list for a chance to win a $100 Gift Card!

Send in your design ideas for a new RPN Occupational Division t-shirt
We recognize that many of you have other brilliant talents outside of nursing and we would love to see your creativity. Send us your design ideas for a new t-shirt for the Division to [email protected] by May 31st. The Division will select the winning design and have t-shirts ready for our upcoming RPN Biennial Conference this fall.
RPN Nurses Week 2022 poster and info flyer
We also encourage you to download, print, and put up our new poster for the Division. This year’s theme is “The pandemic has made us feel…”. It captures our collective thoughts and feelings surrounding the insurmountable pressures, risks, and challenges we’ve all had to face over the past two years.
Also, we urge you to circulate this info flyer that was shared with Ontario’s Members of Provincial Parliament during our lobby day on March 25.
Your vote matters – now more than ever
This has been one of the most difficult times we have ever faced. Recovery from this pandemic will take a strong collective effort – but we can do it.
OPSEU/SEFPO has launched its provincial election platform and we encourage you to pledge to vote for candidates who will help us build Ontario.
On June 2, let’s vote for candidates who respect nurses and the work we do – those who understand how much we care, and how drained we’ve become after decades of austerity and the ongoing staffing crisis it helped to create.
On behalf of the entire RPN Occupational Division, thank you for the dedicated care you provide for people. Even after National Nurses Week is over, we will continue to stand strong with you in the trenches, fighting to protect your bargaining rights, health and safety, and address workplace issues.
