OPSEU members at MPAC gave solid backing to their bargaining team today with a 92 per cent vote in favour of a strike if necessary.
“Now it’s time for the employer to table a serious offer on wages and withdraw its concession demands,” said David Lynch, chair of the OPSSEU bargaining team. “The vote shows how strongly our members support us. They are fed up with the employer’s offer and attitude.”
Contract talks with the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation will resume on March 15.
“The bargaining team want to thank the members. We will use this solid vote to get a fair collective agreement,” said Lynch.
