At yesterday’s Ministry of the Solicitor General – Corrections Ministry Employee Relations Committee (MERC) meeting, the Employer advised us that they are proceeding to fill the 107 Corporal (Correctional Supervisor) positions that were posted in May 2023 (see breakdown by location below).
The employer advised that they would only be filling positions based on what they had identified in the posting – 40 permanent and 67 temporary positions.
Information on the additional positions will be provided when available.
We will continue to provide information on new developments to members of OPSEU/SEFPO’s Correctional Bargaining Unit, and all Sergeants who have signed up for updates.
