- 130 new cases were reported today in Ontario, bringing the cumulative total to 993 (this includes eight resolved cases and 18 deaths).
- In Ontario, there are 10,074 persons under investigation with lab results pending.
Actions Taken:
- The Ontario Pharmacists Association, Ontario Medical Association, and the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario have sent out a joint letter to Ontario’s doctors, nurse practitioners and pharmacists regarding inappropriate prescribing of unproven therapies. It can be accessed here.
- The Quick Reference document on Testing and Clearance has been updated and is available on the ministry website. This updated version includes additional detail around clearing health care workers to return to work.
- A new Guidance document with information on the use of N95 filtering face respirators beyond the manufacturer-designated shelf life has been created. It is attached in today’s Situation Report.
- The Command Table met today, and a letter with a summary of the discussion has been attached.
