- 412 new cases were reported today in Ontario, bringing the cumulative total to 18,722 (this includes 13,222 resolved cases and 1,429 deaths).
- In Ontario, a total of 365,675 tests have been completed, with tests performed at Public Health Ontario Laboratories and non-Public Health Laboratories. There are currently 8,790 tests under investigation.
- 1,032 patients are currently hospitalized with COVID-19; 219 are in ICU; and 174 are in ICU on a ventilator.
Actions Taken
- The Ontario government announced easing restrictions on retail stores and essential construction during COVID-19. The Ontario government is allowing all retail stores with a street entrance to provide curbside pickup and delivery, as well as in-store payment and purchases at garden centres, nurseries, hardware stores and safety supply stores. The business owners should review the health and safety guidelines developed by the province and its health and safety association partners.
