Members of Local 262 at the March of Dimes in Oakville have ratified a tentative contract deal that had been reached earlier this week.

The workers, who had been locked out by management since Oct. 28, agreed to a deal that will deliver a wage increase of about five per cent over the course of the four-year length of the contract. Their previous contract expired in 2011.

Members of the local had turned down an earlier final contract offer from the employer that contained no wage increases for three years.

The workers provide personal support services for disabled individuals that allow them to live independently.
