A Let’s Make a Deal rally was held on May 28, outside the CarePartners corporate office in support of the over 100 nurses and administrative workers of Local 294 who have been on strike since April 10.
Workers are seeking a regular salary wage which will result in better care for their patients.
OPSEU’s First Vice-President/Treasurer Eduardo (Eddy) Almeida and Regional Vice-President, Deb Tungatt were present along with guest speaker Marc Xuereb, President of the Waterloo Regional Labour Council, OPSEU members from Regions 1 and 2; and CarePartners workers from SEIU.
