LockTalk 9: Communication is key

Your bargaining team has researched our comparators and incorporated any improvements into our own bargaining position. We remain eager to meet with the employer in the near future.

Your team has also completed the painstaking task of preparing changes to the Corrections collective agreement arising from Bill 148’s changes to the Employment Standards Act.

We have scheduled more meetings with experts in the field, including legal counsel, to ensure our proposals are fully prepared and that we are completely ready for what lies ahead.

Things will now become more focused on issues bargaining, and we will continue to share any relevant information we have with you. Accordingly, LockTalk will likely appear every two weeks, rather than weekly, or as new updates require. We remain committed to the promised Q&A, as well as further conference calls.

Finally, when communicating with the bargaining team, please identify who you are and to which local you belong. We want to ensure our response is shared with your local leadership.

In solidarity,
Your Correctional bargaining team
