Corrections cares

We want to send a huge thank-you to all the locals that engaged the public as part of the Corrections Cares about Community Safety events on January 8. Over 50 corrections division locals participated in 21 events across the province.

Through these fundraising events, we collected over $11,500 in cash donations and some 3,000 pounds in food donations, as well as many other generous donations for our communities.

Thanks to you, this was a very successful initiative across the division, and we look forward to more events like this, which engage our communities and make our presence better known to the public.

Bargaining has recommenced

This first week back at the table has been busy. Your Correctional bargaining team met with the employer every day.

Mobilizers approved

Our request for two mobilizers has been approved, and we are happy to welcome Mike Lundy, Local 708, and Danielle Du Sablon, Local 221. They will report to the team and help us organize upcoming division initiatives.

Write to your MPP!

We would remind all members of the email your MPP campaign. Please write your MPP today and tell them to help fix the crisis in corrections.

Your bargaining team thanks all members for their continued support. Remember, if you have any questions, simply email the team at [email protected].

In solidarity,
Your Correctional bargaining team
