Update from the bargaining table
During the writ period, your bargaining team continued working on proposals so that we would be in a position to resume bargaining once the government was back in place following the provincial election.
Your bargaining team resumed negotiations with the employer on April 16, 2025, and we remain in the early stages of the bargaining process. We are committed to advancing the priorities identified by the bargaining unit.
As such, we have confirmed these additional meeting dates with the employer:
- May 6-7
- May 22
- June 23-24
We remain hopeful that momentum will build in the bargaining process so that members will be able to participate in a ratification vote on a tentative agreement for the first time in over a decade.
Corrections Cares events
The Correctional Bargaining Unit held a number of Corrections Cares events primarily in support of Boots on the Ground, and other local charities across the province. We were able to raise $18,853 in donations, giving back to our communities. Shout out to everyone who was involved in organizing, participating, and donating to these important causes!
