On Oct. 27, 2014 – Election Day for cities and towns in Ontario – you have the opportunity to shape your workplace for the next four years. You’ll be voting for your next employer. Be sure to learn about the candidates and vote for labour-friendly municipal councilors who will advocate for good jobs and public services in your community. With more than 2,500 OPSEU members working for municipalities across Ontario we can make a difference!

The following OPSEU members are contesting a seat on their local council. Please give them your vote!

Marion Burton, President of OPSEU Local 345, is looking for re-election as Ward Councilor in Otonabee-South Monaghan, Peterborough County

Rhonda Ferguson, OPSEU Local 494, is running for City Councilor in the Township of Athens near Brockville

Rick Weaver seeking election to city council in Brantford, Ward 1

Ron LePage, OPSEU Local 329, running for council in the Town of Penetanguishene, Ward 1

Mike Letwin, OPSEU Local 455, contesting a council seat in Belleville.
