LCBO Strike Vote 2024: June 12-15
We’re holding an online and phone strike vote!
Together, we can vote YES to win!
Why are we taking a strike vote?
Ford’s fixated on fast-tracking the expansion of alcohol sales to help fast-track an election. He’s wasting more than $1 billion of our money to do it. And the LCBO is rolling out the red carpet for this expansion.
We came to the bargaining table ready to fight to save the LCBO: to stop contracting out, protect our jobs and make them better.
The LCBO doesn’t want to bargain – we need to show them that all LCBO workers stand behind our demands.
Does this mean we’re going on strike?
A successful strike vote doesn’t mean that we are automatically going on strike. It does show the LCBO & Ford Government that we’re ready and willing to strike if we need to!
Why should I vote YES?
Vote YES to win! A strong YES vote will send the bargaining team back to the bargaining table with the full strength of the membership – more than 9,000 LCBO workers – behind them. This will give us the power to make progress on issues like wages, permanent and full-time jobs, and stopping privatization to save the LCBO.
That’s why, on June 12-15, we need everyone to vote YES in favour of taking strike action if necessary.
Make sure you’re signed up: in order to vote, we need your contact information!
