Education workers are the backbone of our education system, and our local negotiations are an opportunity for us to demand better working conditions for members and better learning conditions for students.
So far, the Peel District School Board is not listening to our concerns.
Local 2100 members have shown a willingness to take collective action to put pressure on the employer to bargain reasonably. Now, we need to ramp up that pressure using the tools available to us in the collective bargaining process.
On Thursday, October 12 at 4:30 p.m., we are hosting an urgent in-person town hall for all Local 2100 members.
We will discuss next steps and how to build our power to ensure any action we take involves a large majority of our 4,000 members to win at the bargaining table. We will review all the tools available to us – nothing is off the table.
