“It’s your job: prevention starts here” 2017 video contest!

Dear friends:

Do you have, or know, any high school students? If so, please tell them about the It’s Your Job: Prevention Starts Here video contest! It aims to get young people talking about health and safety at work early on. That’s what I like best about it: many contest entrants will learn about their right to safe workplaces even before they land their first job.

Health and safety is a key front this union fights on for its members. So you can imagine how highly I value a project like this one that will empower and educate young people. And don’t forget to tell them the sweet part: first prize is $2,000 for the entrant, and another $2,000 for their school.

The contest closes March 3, 2017. For contest details, click here for the poster, or visit www.ontario.ca/videocontest.

The contest is sponsored by the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board, the Ontario Ministry of Labour, and the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety.

In solidarity,
