OPSEU/SEFPO Indigenous Circle wishes to welcome all delegates, alternates, observers, and guests to the OPSEU/SEFPO 2025 Annual Convention to the Treaty Lands and Territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation as well as the traditional territory of the Huron-Wendat and Haudenosaunee people.
We would like to welcome everyone, including children attending the Convention, to join our Indigenous Circle Smudging Ceremonies on April 23 and April 26
- Wednesday, April 23, 5 pm – Convention Hall AB
- Saturday, April 26, 7 am – Simco Park, directly across the street from MTCC North
Our Smuding Ceremony is a sacred event for Indigenous People,
we ask that you take a moment to read this Etiquette:
- Indigenous people wear Regalia and/or Sash not costume’s and they should not be touched
- Please do not touch the drums that belong to the drummers
- Please do not take photos, videos or sound recordings during smudging ceremony without permission
