December 10 is International Human Rights Day. This marks the anniversary of the United Nations adoption and proclamation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948. The Declaration of Human Rights enshrines the inalienable rights that should be protected and sets the standard for all peoples and nations.
The OPSEU/SEFPO Provincial Human Rights Committee recognizes that promoting awareness and education about human rights within our union empowers our fellow members and benefits our communities. Armed with this knowledge, we are empowered to motivate, advocate and protect human rights in our province, country, and around the world.
