Region 5 Coalition of Racialized Workers invites all racialized OPSEU members to attend the Indigenous and Workers of Colour Conference being hosted by the Toronto and York Region Labour Council.

The theme for this year's Conference is "Confronting Oppression and Building Unity."  Presenters include:

Keynote Address

Larry Rousseau, Vice President of the Canadian Labour Congress
Plenary Panel (to be announced)

Workshops

  1.  How to Engage in Difficult Conversations and/or Racist Situations - Facilitated by Rania el Mugammar

  2.  LGBTQ+ and Racial Justice - Facilitated by Larry Rousseau

  3.  Living on Occupied Land, A Settler's Responsibility - Facilitated by Maggie Cywink

  4.  Climate Change, Class, Racial and Indigenous Justice - Co-facilitated by CBTU and ACLA.

​Region 5 has agreed to cover the registration fees for up to 50 racialized members from Region 5 to attend the Conference.  No other expenses are being reimbursed to attend the event.
