Convention 2014 opened at 9 a.m. Thursday morning with OPSEU President Smokey Thomas welcoming nearly 1,500 members to Toronto.
The highlight of the opening ceremonies was keynote speaker Gilda Cobb-Hunter, State 
Congresswoman from South Carolina. Cobb-Hunter is one of the stars of the OPSEU video "Made In The USA," and is one of the bigeest voices of opposition to South Carolina's regressive "Right To Work" laws.
