We hope everyone will be able to take some time this weekend to reconnect with loved ones this Family Day weekend.
The pandemic has been hard for all of us. Workers have lost jobs or had hours cut. Front-line workers have struggled with crushing workloads. Parents have juggled work and their kids’ learning. Students have gone without teachers and friends. Family celebrations have been curtailed.
We recognize that this year, like last, some of you may have lost loved ones and for that we are sorry.
This weekend is a time to reflect, remember and gather safely.
We’re looking forward to the gradual easing of restrictions and the threat of COVID fading, and hope better times are coming soon. Let’s hope this will be our last Family Day spent under the threat of COVID. In the meantime, let’s all stay the course – and stay safe.
We wish all our members a very happy Family Day!
In solidarity,
