The Hamilton Spectator is covering alarms being raised by OPSEU/SEFPO members about “unprecedented” ambulance shortages caused by hospital overcrowding.
“We’re failing our patients, and our most vulnerable citizens.” said Local 256 President Posteraro. “It’s a disaster playing out in real time.”
The Spectator reports that in one recent incident, an ambulance had to be sent to Hamilton from Orangeville, more than an hour away.
