On the morning of January 20, mother of five Heather Bagan returned home from taking her youngest child to school to find her house in flames, with her three beloved sons still inside. Heather’s sons, tragically, did not survive the fire. All members of OPSEU/SEFPO send Heather our deepest condolences.

The Bagan family needs help to rebuild their lives. The Malton Moms have created a GoFundMe page to raise funds to help with rehousing, funeral costs, and food. We ask everyone in our OPSEU/SEFPO family who is able to donate to please visit the fundraiser page and show support.

Donate here.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Heather, her family and all of their loved ones during this extremely difficult time.

In solidarity,

Warren (Smokey) Thomas, OPSEU/SEFPO President
Eduardo (Eddy) Almeida, OPSEU/SEFPO First Vice-President/Treasurer
