First-line emergency responders deserve better

Toronto NDP MPP Cheri DiNovo has been fighting to have emergency responders suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) recognized as a workplace illness ever since a distressed paramedic walked into her office. Seven years and five private members' bills later, she’s still fighting for the thousands of frontline workers to see that their mental health is taken seriously and covered by the WSIB.
