On Tuesday this week, Canada supported a ceasefire resolution at the United Nations General Assembly.
Canada’s vote was the result of mass demonstrations calling for a ceasefire, which took place all across Canada in the last nine weeks.
But it’s not a ceasefire till the bombs stop. We need to make the ceasefire real.
Join the pan-Canadian day of action on Sunday, December 17 and tell the federal government:
Make the ceasefire real. End the siege of Gaza. Humanitarian aid now.
In Ontario, actions are planned in Barrie, Belleville, Collingwood, London, Ottawa, Peterborough, North Bay, Toronto, and Windsor. More actions will be added before Sunday.
Visit ceasefirenow.ca to find an action near you.
If you don’t see an action, you can register one in your area, and Ceasefire Now will help you organize!
In Toronto, a rally and march will take place on Sunday, December 17 at 1:00 p.m. at Nathan Phillips Square (TTC: Queen or Osgoode). A labour contingent will assemble at 12:30 p.m. in front of the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel, 123 Queen Street West.
Thank you for supporting peace and justice. See you on Sunday.
