The Toronto Star and The Ottawa Citizen are reporting on the growing number of calls for the resignation of Minister of Children, Community and Social Services Minister Lisa MacLeod in the wake of allegations her office threatened autism service providers if they didn’t publicly endorse her scheme to cap and privatize autism services.
“I can’t tell you how disappointed I am in Lisa MacLeod,” says OPSEU President Warrren (Smokey) Thomas in The Star.
The Citizen also notes that the hashtag #ResignLisaMacLeod has been trending on Twitter.
“MacLeod’s office did not deny the allegations made by behaviour analysts’ association,” writes the Citizen. “It also did not immediately respond to request for comment on calls for the minister’s resignation.”
