We are writing to provide an important update regarding the status of bargaining.

As previously shared, your bargaining team decided to request a “no-board” report after the March 26, 2025, conciliation session as the employer’s position failed to adequately address the priorities and concerns identified by the membership.

We are now moving forward to the next stage in the process, interest arbitration, which has been scheduled for September 24, 2025, with Arbitrator Lindsey Lawrence.

In preparation, your bargaining team will be meeting with our research officer to prepare and review our arguments. This is a critical step to ensure we present a strong case that reflects the needs and priorities of our membership.

Key Issues Still Unresolved:

Wages and Cost of Living: Our members deserve wage increases that reflect the rising cost of living and the critical nature of the work we do. The employer’s proposals have not addressed these concerns adequately.

Vacation and Sick Leave: We continue to fight for improved vacation entitlements and sick leave enhancements to support a better work-life balance for all members, both full-time and part-time.

Job Security: Protecting our members from the threat of privatization and ensuring meaningful job security remain top priorities, especially considering Grifols ongoing efforts to expand private blood collection in Ontario.

Premiums and Allowances: We are advocating for increases to existing premiums and allowances that reflect the demands and value of your work.

As preparations for interest arbitration continue, we encourage members to stay engaged and united as we push for a collective agreement that addresses the needs of our members. This is a fight we win together, and your continued support and solidarity is what keeps us strong.

We will keep you informed as we move forward and share further updates as they become available.
