Attacks on Niagara correctional officers on the rise

"Corrections officers at Niagara Detention Centre in Thorold have dealt with a skyrocketing number of assaults by inmates in what the union says is the result of a broken system across the province that includes understaffing, inadequate infrastructure and a lack of relevant training."
