April 25: Great performances planned for Convention 2024 Awards

If you’re coming to Convention 2024, Awards Night is not-to-be-missed! We’ll see you there!

When: Thursday, April 25 – Doors open at 7 p.m., show starts at 7:30 p.m.
Where: Metro Toronto Convention Centre, John Bassett Theatre

Many amazing OPSEU/SEFPO activists will be honoured for their incredible organizing work in their workplaces, union and communities with the following awards:

  • Health & Safety Awards for an individual and local
  • Honourary Lifetime Membership Awards
  • Human Rights Award for an individual and local
  • Leah Casselman Award for an individual and local
  • Provincial Young Worker Award
  • Fred Upshaw Award of Merit
  • Stanley H. Knowles Humanitarian Award

We’ll also have the opportunity to see incredible music, dance and spoken word performances by top-notch artists, including:

  • Logan Staats, Juno-nominated Mohawk folk and soul musician and songwriter
  • Randell Adjei, Ontario’s first Poet Laureate, spoken word practitioner and transformational speaker
  • Trash Panda Brass, an exciting new, queer voice in the Toronto brass band scene
  • Tribal Vision Dance, a multi-media dance group from Six Nations of the Grand River Reserve
