The Triennial Convention of the National Union of Public and General Employees will be held at the St. John’s Convention Centre, 50 New Gower Street, St. John’s, NL, from 9:00 am on Friday, June 17 until the completion of business on Sunday, June 19, 2022 at approximately noon.

NUPGE will be emailing you shortly a link to confirm your attendance, contact information, dietary restrictions and allergies, accessibility concerns and childcare requirements.
OPSEU/SEFPO will also need you to register on your member portal so that you can let us know your time off requirements as well as hotel requirements.
OPSEU/SEFPO Caucus
An OPSEU/SEFPO Caucus will be held on Thursday, June 16, St. John’s Convention Centre. Details to follow.
Travel
You will be responsible for booking your flight to the convention.

Hotel Rooms
OPSEU/SEFPO will book all hotel rooms centrally for the nights of June 16, 17, 18 and if necessary 19. Delegates are entitled to and will be reimbursed for a single room. The rate per night is $208.00 plus applicable taxes, you are responsible for payment of their hotel room upon check out.
Any additional nights outside of these dates must be pre-approved by the First Vice-President/Treasurer’s Office, regardless of region or distance from the event.
Once we know the hotel OPSEU/SEFPO delegates will be staying at we will let you know.

Time Off
Requests will be processed for June 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20. Thursday June 16 and Monday June 20 are designated travel days for all OPEU/SEFPO Delegates to the NUPGE Convention.
Any additional days outside of these must be pre-approved by the First Vice-President/Treasurer’s Office.
Registration Fee
No registration fee is required for this convention.
