OPSEU/SEFPO President JP Hornick spoke at a Toronto City Budget subcommittee meeting this week to make the case for expanding the City’s Fair Wage Policy to include all workers directly or indirectly employed by the City of Toronto. This would ensure that the almost 700 OPSEU/SEFPO members at Homes First – who provide crucial shelter services – receive wage parity with their City of Toronto counterparts, which they deserve!
Homes First workers are ready to fight for their rights so they can continue to provide essential housing services without the worry of meeting their own basic needs.
NOW is the time. Together we can make this a more caring and livable city for everyone.
