On Monday, September 27, 2021, OPSEU/SEFPO staff attended a mandatory one-hour educational session on truth and reconciliation, to prepare for the first National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on Thursday, September 30.
OPSEU/SEFPO is observing the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation as a paid day off for all staff to listen, reflect, and honour survivors. In commitment to reconciliation with Indigenous people, we will continue to push for the Ontario government to recognize this as a provincial statutory holiday.
