The facts about joining OPSEU/SEFPO:

1. Permanent and casual Custodial, Maintenance, Librarian, IT, and Secretarial employees are eligible to join!
2. We know your work! We already represent more than 8,000 education workers who aren’t in teaching positions.
3. We know your employer! We already bargain and enforce a contract for education workers within the Kenora Catholic District School Board.
4. We can help protect you against unfair dismissal or discipline.
5. We are a member-driven union. You and your co-workers decide the wages and benefits you want to bargain for.
6. We have over 350 specialized staff to assist you and your co-workers negotiate the best wages and benefits possible!
7. Our dues are the lowest in Ontario – just 1.375 per cent of your pay. In other words, just $1.38 per $100 earned. Plus: union dues are tax deductible!
8. We don’t charge initiation, start-up, or any other hidden fees! In fact, you don’t start paying dues until you have your first collective agreement.
