Ontario Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) Readiness Update

The Office of Chief Medical Officer of Health, Public Health has released an update on the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) readiness in Ontario including EVD guidelines, laboratory testing and educational webinars. (See full release here):PDF icon MOHLTC EVD Readiness Update July 2019

The release details “…while there is an ongoing outbreak of EVD in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), the risk globally remains low…”  The release further states that currently there are non-governmental organizations employing several Canadians in the area.  As a result, The Ontario Ministry of Health is working collaboratively with the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) to continually reassess the situation.
