Q. If I am in Canada on a study permit, or am a permanent resident, will picketing affect my status?

No. Picketing will not have a negative impact on your status in Canada.

You have a constitutionally protected right to picket. Picketing is a protected activity under sections 2(b) and 2(d) of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, which provide for freedom of expression and freedom of association.

We need you on the picket line!

The success of this strike rests on all LBED members participating in strike activities. This is a fight about protecting good jobs in our communities and public revenues.

Because Doug Ford’s alcohol everywhere scheme means thousands of lost jobs, fewer hours for the 70% of LCBO retail workers who are casual and struggling to make ends meet, and hundreds of millions in dollars of lost public revenues drained from health care, education, and infrastructure.
