Solidarity Reserve Fund Requests

Request #2016-01-01

Moved by Arbus/Thomas

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Solidarity Reserve Fund provide up to $5,000 for legal expenses incurred by the member in a civil lawsuit for long-term disability benefits, on the conditions that: 1) the member’s retainer agreement with counsel is approved by OPSEU Counsel; and 2) the member’s counsel makes reasonable efforts to recover legal costs as part of any settlement or order.
