Rainbow Alliance prepares to make a splash
For many years OPSEU's Rainbow Alliance has provided representation and support to our lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, transsexual, intersexed, queer, questioning and two-spirited (LGBTTIQQ2S) members. We promote equality and a harassment-free work environment. Tackling discrimination in the workplace means addressing and challenging it in our communities, unions and homes.
We are very aware that some of our members also participate in other identity groups and we celebrate that! The Rainbow Alliance has a chance to step up its game this year with World Pride in Toronto. We would like to extend an invitation to your committee/caucus to hold a display at our Labour House. This invitation is open to any labour-friendly organization who would like to showcase the great work that they are currently doing within the community. These displays will be held inside the OPSEU Toronto Regional Office on 31 Wellesley Street East and can take the form of pretty much anything from a poster, a booth or a speaker. Be creative and have fun! Send an e-mail to [email protected] for additional information or to contact a member of the Rainbow Alliance.
