Congratulations to all OPSEU Locals that took part in Community Engagement Week June 11 through June 17. Events supporting community based initiatives such as food banks, youth sports and family shelters took place across the province including Sarnia, Brantford, Hamilton, Toronto, Newmarket, Belleville, Smiths Falls, Hawkesbury and Sault Ste. Marie.

Roxanne Barnes, CERC Co-Chair OPS and MCSS MERC Co-Chair stated that these events “build on the long tradition of OPSEU members supporting those that are in need.”  Ms. Barnes pointed out that as frontline workers, OPSEU members “are keenly aware of the struggles many of the most vulnerable people in Ontario face each day.”
