The following is a list of the events that correctional workers have planned across Ontario as part of their “Corrections cares about community safety” event. While most events will take place on Monday, January 8, some communities have organized events that will take place over the whole week.

This outreach will underscore correctional workers’ commitment to the well-being and safety of their respective communities, while highlighting the desperate need for government investment in our correctional and mental health systems.

Please plan to attend your local event and consider contributing through cash or non-perishable food and other items, as appropriate. To be successful, we’re counting on your participation. Please be generous and give of yourself, of your time and of your resources.
