OPSEU Local 276 on Strike

Owen Sound Family Health Organization Strike

Help end the FHO Strike

The nurses, clerical and custodial staff at the Family Health Organization (FHO) in Owen Sound have been on strike since May 22 because of low wages and unfair working conditions.

They are not asking for the moon – they just want wage increases to cover the increased cost of living. (In fact, the Local 276 members are asking for much less than what the doctors who own FHO are demanding in their own negotiations with the province!)

You can help end the strike.

Click here to send an email to the doctors who own the Family Health Organization demanding that they make a fair offer to their workers.

Note: the link above will open up the e-mail program associated with your browser. If you are using a web-based email program or if you don't have an email program linked to your browser,  click here for  text-only version of the letter.

You can also contact doctors individually. The three doctors bargaining on behalf of all the doctors are:

They can also be reached by phone at (519) 470-3030.
