The Ford government’s funding cuts to Legal Aid Ontario has made it more difficult for Ontarians injured on the job to seek compensation and justice. OPSEU members will be joining the Ontario Network of Injured Workers Group (ONIWG) and the Barrie District Injured Worker Group for a “teach-in” outside of Ontario Attorney General Doug Downey’s constituency office in Barrie.
Date: July 11, 2019
Time: From 12:00 p.m. – 1 p.m.
Location: Attorney General Doug Downey’s Constituency Office, 20 Bell Farm Road, Barrie
A bus will be leaving from Toronto at 15 Langford Avenue just off Danforth Avenue at 10 a.m. Expected return drop-off is at 3 p.m.
Please join us and help us let Ontario’s new attorney general know about the struggles facing injured workers across the province and why properly-funded community legal clinics are so critical to getting them justice. We need Doug Downey to stand up to Doug Ford and reverse the cuts to legal aid!
